Dedicated Campaign Team
Due to the size of the task involved in setting up the CSS, administering the campaign and marketing, we invited members of the Rangers Family to get involved. We have not been disappointed by the response!
Got a Question?
Understanding the buyRangers campaign
The aim is straightforward, to purchase a substantial share in our football club and put the control firmly in the hands of those to whom it means most. It's an opportunity to harness that collective passion to ensure we never again suffer from the actions of a small group of individuals.
What if for the first time as a Rangers fan you could attend an AGM and cast your vote which would actually count for something. For too long our aspirations have not been at the forefront, now, together they can be.
How will investment work
We are asking the Rangers Community to invest in the Rangers Supporters Society Limited which is incorporated as a Community Benefit Society and registered with the Financial Services Authority.
Money invested in the fund will be used solely for the purchase price of acquisition of majority control of Rangers FC.
There isn't a target price; only a target objective and the fund will be kept open on an on-going basis until this target objective is met.
Community shares are withdrawable as previously stated after a three year period once again, provided The Society has the funds to repay the value. For example, if new members join after you have purchased your shares and existing members want to withdraw, then the Society will be in a position to do so.
The minimum purchase is £125 and members can invest up to a maximum of £20,000.
Got a Question?
What is a Community Benefit Society?
A Community Benefit Society is a recognised legal form. It arises when a group of like-minded people come together to carry on a business which has wider community and social development aims. It is a non-profit organisation run by its members and is recognised as a real alternative to the way the majority of football clubs are owned.
The Community Benefit Society raises capital by issuing shares to its members who share in its vision. Our vision is straightforward and unambiguous:
The democratic ownership of Rangers Football Club by the Rangers Community
Your Investment - all you need to know
How much are shares?
The minimum purchase of shares is £125 and members can invest up to a maximum of £20,000. Should you be fortunate enough to be able to invest more towards our aim then please contact us directly.
How do votes work?
Membership of the Fund will be structured on a one member, one vote basis ensuring we never again suffer from the actions of a small group of individuals.
Can I get my money back?
The shares are withdrawable subject to the rules of the society which are explicitly explained in the Community Share Document which is available to read in the download contained on this web site.
